While almost every dachshund that comes into rescue is a wonderful dog and worthy of a loving home, there are some that are special or have extraordinary circumstances which makes placement challenging. Some were handicapped, some were abused, and some had the disadvantage of simply being senior citizens. It is no crime to get old, but it takes a very special family to take one into their home knowing that their time with this sweet creature will be limited.
